Primary Source Documents

This is a list of transcribed, primary source documents you can use in your research. They include land deeds, vital records (marriage and death certificates), obituaries, census records and a few others.

Here are a few tips to make your research more productive:

• Use the "Search this site" link in the navigation pane to the left whenever you want to search the documents.

• Most transcriptions include an image of the document. This will be indicated by the "View Image" link at the top of the transcription page.

• If you're looking for a certain land deed but can't find it, try searching the grantor/grantee lists.

Research notes are also available. These notes complement the documents on this page and will hopefully give your research a boost.
