Gift - Land from William Green to Fannie ArnoldJanuary 23, 1869 Source: Franklin County, Kentucky, Deed Book 14, p. 414 This indenture, made this 23rd day of Jan. 1869, between William Green of the County of Crittenden and State of Kentucky of the first part & Fannie Arnold of the County of Franklin and State aforesaid of the second part, witnesseth: That for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar, in hand paid, for the love and affection I have for her, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the parties of the first part do give and convey and grant unto the part of the second part, and her heirs and assigns all his interest in a certain tract of land that belonged to Cynthia Penn deceased, lying and being in the County of Franklin and bounded by the lands of Judah Baldwin, A. Cox & T. N. Sullivan, known as the Penn farm. Together with the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the property hereby conveyed to the part of the second part and her heirs and assigns forever. And the said part of the first part covenant that he will warrant generally the property hereby conveyed. In witness whereof the part of the first part hath set his hand and seal the day and year above written. William Green State of Illinois, Hardin County Personally appeared before me, John Mitchell, an acting Notary Public, in and for the County and State aforesaid, William Green the signor of the above deed who is personally known to me and acknowledged he signed, sealed and delivered the said instrument in writing as his free and voluntary act for the uses and purposes therein set forth. Given under my hand and notarial seal this 23rd day of March 1870. John Mitchell State of Kentucky, County of Frankfort I, James G. Crockett, Clerk of the County Court of the County aforesaid, certify that this deed to Fannie Arnold was this day produced to me in my office and ordered to be recorded. Whereupon said deed and the foregoing and this certificate have been truly recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 23rd day of September 1876. Jas. G. Crockett |
