Land Deed - Benjamin Arnold to Henry Burchfield

This indenture, made this 15th day of March 1867 between Benjamin Arnold of the County of Franklin & State of Kentucky of the first part and Henry Burchfield of the County and State aforesaid of the second part.

Witnesseth: That for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & sixty dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the party of the first part doth bargain, sell and convey, release & grant unto the party of the second part, and his heirs and assigns, all his interest in the estate of John Burchfield deceased, both real & personal property, money, choses in action, which interest being the undivided one fifth of one eleventh and which I have inherited as a grandson of said John Burchfield deceased.

Together with all the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging.

To have and to hold the property hereby conveyed to the party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said party of the first part covenants that he will warrant and defend the property hereby conveyed. In testimony whereof, the party of the first part hereunto set his hand & seal the day and year first above written.

I, Alexander H. Rennick, Clerk of the County Court for the County of Franklin, do certify that the foregoing deed was produced to me in my office on the 15th day of March 1867 with a fifty cents United States revenue stamp attached thereas and was acknowledged by Ben Arnold, the grantor, to be his act and deed, and the same is truly recorded in my office.
