Land Deed - Benjamin Arnold to Benjamin S. ArnoldApril 3, 1867 Source: Franklin County, Kentucky, Deed Book 9, p. 173 This indenture, made this 3rd April 1867, between Benjamin Arnold of the first part, and Benjamin S. Arnold of the second part, and both of the County of Franklin & State of Kentucky, witnesseth: That for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the party of the first part doth bargain, sell, convey, relase & grant unto the party of the second part & his heirs & assigns, all his interest in the town of Bloomington in Franklin County Kentucky. It being the two fifths thereof, one fifth of which he inherited from his father, Simeon Arnold decd, and the other by purchase from his his brother John T. Arnold. Together with the rights, privileges & appurtenances thereunto belong. To have & to hold the property hereby conveyed to the party of the second & his heirs & assigns forever. And the said party of the first part covenants that he will warrant the property hereby conveyed. In testimony whereof the party of the first part hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. Attest A. H. Rennick Ben Arnold State of Kentucky I, Alexander H. Rennick, Clerk of the County Court for the County of Franklin, do certify that the foregoing deed was produced to me in my office on the third day of April 1867 with a fifty cent United States revenue stamp attached thereon, and was acknowledged by Ben Arnold, the grantor, to be his act & deed and the same with this certificate, have been truly recorded in my office.
