December the 27th: 1725/6

In the Name of God Amen. I Thomas Arnold of Hanover Parish in King George county in the 77th year of my age doth make this my last Will & Testament in manner & form as followeth.

First I bequeath my Soul & Spirit into the hands of my heavenly Father, by whom of his Mercy & only ____ Grace through the death of my Savior Jesus Christ I entrust to be saved & redeemed to eternal rest. My ____ body I commit to the Earth to be buried at such rate as my Grace my wife, whom I appoint my Executrice wholly hereinafter named shall think fit.

Item. I do give & bequeath unto my loving wife Grace Arnold my plantation & land so far as to the place where William Harrison's path makes into the side or edge of my plantation or ____ ground to her proper use & disposing during her natural life and from & after her decease my Will is that the said land hereby given to my Wife as aforesaid doth wholly belong to my son James Arnold & his heirs forever.

Item. That after that part of land hereby given to my Wife & my Son James is by a strait course from the said Harrison's path westerly to Captn. Joseph Strother's line taken to them that the whole remaining part of my land immediately belong to my youngest son John Arnold & his heirs forever and being not indebted & giving the whole of my personal estate to my wife Grace as aforesaid and my Exekutors being ready to give such sekurity as King George County shall think fit.

I wish that my Estate may not be appraised.

At a court held for King George County on Friday the sixth day of May Anno Dom 1726.

The last Will & Testament of Thomas Arnold deceased was presented into Court by Grace Arnold his widow & Exectrice who made oath thereto and the same being proved by the oath of Isaac Arnold one of the Witnesses thereto subscribed is admitted to Record.
