Grantor / Grantee Index

County governments keep lists of every land deed recorded in that county. Two lists are maintained - one alphabetized by the grantor's last name and one by the grantee's last name. Within any certain last name, the deeds are ordered by date.

Below are links to several of these lists - only the Arnold pages of course - along with the range of dates covered by each list.

Unlike most other documents on this site, there is no transcription included. The link is only to an image of the individual pages. However, it's very simple to scan through each image and identify the information you're looking for.

Once you've located a deed in one of the following lists and have decided you'd like to view it:

1. Check to see if I already have it on my Documents page. This may save you the trouble and expense of ordering a copy yourself.

2. If I don't have the deed you're looking for, you can request a copy by writing to the address I've included for each county.

   Note: When requesting copies from the county, be sure to include all the information about the particular deed (i.e. name of grantor and grantee, book and page number, and date).
